What Is Cytology In Dogs?

Cytology is an alternative method of determining where a girl is at within her heat cycle.  We examine a collection of  cells samples from a vaginal swab and test under a microscope.

Vaginal cytology is a simple less invasive procedure. ​Cytology  has the added benefit o ​ f evaluating the dog’s health too since it can detect inflammatory and neoplastic conditions in the female reproductive tract.
